April 20 - Naperville - In a similar attack as those once
conducted by Angelex, the site
of Anubhav has been torn down, and marked Friday night by a
person/group claiming himself only as "The Immunity".
Anubhav's password was changed prohibiting him from entering his
own site. Also, The Immunity managed to hack into his
e-mail account, and is now commandeering both.
Initial fears of a possible attack on Angelex or its members
subsided once contact with the perpetrator was established. Though
he would not reveal his name, in a brief conversation with Angelex,
he claimed that "i only did this cause anubhav pissed me off".
When questioned about the morality of vandalizing a website, he just
responded: "vandalized? i like to think of it as a time-sharing plan".
At the request of Angelex, he will be returning the site back to
Anubhav, but comments that "I think his page looks better
this way."
How The Immunity accomplished this feat is still up to
speculation, but Chief Alexander believes that Immunity broke into
Anubhav's e-mail first by going through the "Password Hint
System" in Hotmail and then sending the site password there. Anubhav's password to his website was
reportedly "janiceyi", as revealed by The Immunity.
However, it is possible that The Immunity DID hack into
the system. "That scares the living fuck out of me," said
Calvin H. The mere possibility gives justification to earlier fears.
If it is that easy to hack into an e-mail account or website, then
we are much more vulnerable that we may have thought.
