April 28 - Naperville - As of today, 241 days have
passed since the start of the school last August. In a week, we will
enter the last eighth of the year, according to the school
calendar--a final 4 week stretch of before we end our school year.
Soon, the class of '02 will be leaving us (certainly some of them
will be missed). Until then, we have a couple of words for the
current classes before its over...
Seniors: As the say, "out with the
old"! They are finally ending their K - 12 educational career
and are soon off to college! With less than three weeks of school
for them, they of course they have to have their final parting
traditions before they end their high school career.
Juniors: Well, well, the to-be seniors
couldn't be cockier-- seriously. This shall continue as they attempt
to impose their seniority next year, where they shall fail miserably.
However, since they only have one year left of school, the least we
can do is let them enjoy it.
Sophomores: The caretakers of the
underclass, the watchdogs of the upperclass. By far the best of all
four classes, the class of '04 has always--even since before high
school--been superior by nature. The class competition (whatever its
supposed to be) shows proof. Last year, the Froshies had the tops;
now its the sophs, a regularity as Mr. Schmitt would say, and one
that will continue.
Freshmen: What's there to say? They
have long since lost their junior high innocence, and are now part
of the HS community. They won't be at the bottom anymore. Good for
them.
