GAC Award #1. 4/2/2002 General Electric - This plastic phone has been dropped from a height of 5 feet as many times as the microwave door has opened. And yet, it works as well as it did before it was placed in that most unfortunate position. I doubt my Panasonic phone would survive such abuse. For creating a cordless phone that has withstood the test of falling, the Golden Acclaim of Craftsmanship!

SAD Award #1. 4/8/2002 - Eastman Kodak Company - This large and clunky digital camera (DC280 ZOOM) features frequent errors, and low battery times. As an added bonus, this 2- megapixel piece of crap suffered a complete failure after only 1 year of use. Kodak deserves to be kicked in the arse for producing such a failure prone product, even if it is only my camera that is like this. The first Disgrace award goes to Kodak!
